Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 3, 2026
CatInvoice is designed so the core invoice editor works in your browser without requiring an account. This page explains what stays local, what requests leave the browser, and where third-party services are involved.
Invoice Data And Browser Storage
Draft invoices, saved invoices, saved clients and items, selected templates, logos, and some preferences are stored in local browser storage on the device and browser profile you use. CatInvoice does not automatically sync this invoice data to a CatInvoice account or cloud database. Clearing browser data, using another browser, or changing devices can make it unavailable. Use the JSON backup feature and keep the downloaded file somewhere you control.
Cloudflare Infrastructure
CatInvoice is delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals, in infrastructure and security logs. Blog content is served through Cloudflare Pages Functions and D1. Cloudflare Web Analytics is not used.
Optional Usage Analytics — Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 is requested only after you grant Usage analytics consent. CatInvoice sends only a page view with the URL pathname, a successful PDF-generation event, and an event indicating that the browser print dialog opened. It does not intentionally send invoice numbers, monetary values, currencies, client or business details, item details, notes, templates, error text, user IDs, or query strings. GA4 event-level data retention is configured for two months. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled.
Optional Experience Analytics — Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity is requested only after you grant Experience analytics consent. It helps us understand navigation and interface use through recordings, heatmaps, and aggregate interaction data. Text inputs, textareas, and editable text controls in the editor and saved library are explicitly masked. The rendered invoice preview and saved-invoice table text are not masked by this policy and may appear in a consented Clarity recording. Do not grant Experience analytics if you do not want that content included. We do not send Clarity custom identifiers or invoice-derived tags. Microsoft states that playback data is retained for 30 days and aggregate click and heatmap data for nine months. Advertising storage stays denied.
Consent, Cookies, And Withdrawal
Usage analytics and Experience analytics are separate, optional choices. Both are denied until you decide. Your selection is stored under catinvoice:privacy:v1 for up to 12 months, after which CatInvoice asks again. Open the always-availablePrivacy settings control to change or withdraw consent. On withdrawal, CatInvoice sends a denied consent state, expires known first-party analytics cookies, saves the preference, and reloads the current page so the revoked script is no longer running. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain denied.
Services We Do Not Use For Invoice Data
CatInvoice does not use Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, Ahrefs Analytics, document uploads, OCR extraction, or Google AI processing in the invoice editor. Tabby and its document-processing endpoint have been retired.
